Move from Zoho. Keep the history.
Move from Zoho. Keep the history.
Zoho Books and Zoho Invoice are feature-broad and ecosystem-deep — if you're already running Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, and Zoho Projects, the lock-in is the point. If you're not, you're paying for breadth you don't use, and the UI fights you on simple invoicing tasks. The teams that move to Guliel from Zoho usually want one thing: a calmer system that does the operations parts (invoicing, expenses, suppliers, logistics, automations) cleanly, without the full-suite weight. Move in. Keep the history.
What we import
Two routes.
| Source | What comes across |
|---|---|
| Zoho API (OAuth) | Customers, invoices, items, payments, expenses, vendors, recurring invoices, credit notes |
| Zoho CSV export | Customers, invoices, products, payments, expenses — separate CSV per list |
Invoice numbers preserve. Multi-currency stays multi-currency, with the FX rate at issue locked in. Tax rates per line map to Guliel's per-organization tax configuration. Recurring invoices migrate as Guliel automations — same client, same schedule, no manual recreation. Vendor records carry over and become the starting point for Guliel's bidirectional supplier flow (something Zoho has partial support for but doesn't run end-to-end the way we do).
What we don't import
Be honest about what Zoho-ecosystem links we can and can't preserve.
- Cross-module links to Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, Zoho Projects, Zoho People. If your Zoho Books customers are linked to Zoho CRM contacts, the customer record imports but the CRM relationship doesn't. Same for Projects-to-invoices and Mail threads attached to deals. Those links are Zoho's value prop, not ours.
- Chart of accounts and the general ledger. Guliel isn't full double-entry. Zoho Books' COA and ledger stay in Zoho. If you need them, run Zoho on a lower tier for a quarter, or let your accountant log in for year-end.
- Bank feeds and reconciliation state. Zoho's bank integrations live with Zoho. We don't recreate them.
- Zoho Inventory's full warehouse logic. Products / SKUs / quantities migrate; multi-warehouse routing and serial-number tracking don't fit Guliel's logistics model one-to-one. Single-warehouse setups land cleanly; multi-warehouse: contact us.
- Zoho-specific custom fields — limited. We map well-defined custom fields to Guliel tags or notes; complex multi-field relationships need a review pass.
- Zoho Books' audit trail. The internal audit log stays in Zoho.
- Payroll. Zoho Payroll (where available) doesn't migrate — we don't do payroll.

Estimated time to migrate
Most Zoho orgs under 5,000 invoices migrate in under 30 minutes via the API route. Larger orgs with 5,000–50,000 invoices: 1–2 hours plus a reconciliation report that shows customer balances before and after. If you're on Zoho Books with multiple branches, each branch maps to a Guliel organization, billed per org — not per user. Multi-currency, multi-tax, multi-product complexity doesn't add meaningful time; what does add time is custom-field-heavy setups, which need a manual review pass.
Start the move
Connect Zoho via OAuth or drop the CSV bundle, preview the result, commit when it matches. Migration is free on every plan including the free tier. Pricing afterward at /pricing — Free, $20, or $99 per organization. Side-by-side at /compare/zoho, including the honest "pick Zoho when" — if you're deep in the Zoho suite, staying is the right call. Compliance specifics at /invoicing.
FAQ
Will my Zoho invoice numbers carry over?
Yes. The sequence preserves; Guliel continues from your latest number.
Will my Zoho CRM contacts come across?
No. CRM lives in Zoho CRM, not Zoho Books. We import the Books-side customer records but the CRM relationship doesn't transfer. If CRM-to-invoicing linkage is your reason for being on Zoho, stay on Zoho.
What about recurring invoices and scheduled reports?
Recurring invoices migrate as Guliel automations — same client, same line items, same schedule. Scheduled reports are recreated using Guliel's automations engine post-import; the schedule itself you reconfigure once.
Do you replace Zoho Inventory?
For single-warehouse operations, Guliel's logistics module handles products, SKUs, stock levels, and threshold-based reorder automations. Multi-warehouse and serial-number-level tracking aren't in scope today.
Is migration free?
Yes. Migration costs nothing on any plan, including the Free tier.
Can I keep using Zoho Mail / Zoho CRM after I move?
Yes. Migrating off Zoho Books doesn't touch your other Zoho subscriptions. The two systems just stop talking the way they did inside the suite.
What about my accountant?
Reports export in accountant-handoff format — revenue by month, AR aging, tax by jurisdiction, expense by category. If your accountant was using Zoho Books as their working surface, expect a short conversation about the handoff.
